Thirsty Soul

O God, You are my God,
My soul thirsts as I seek;
For I honor and laud,
As being humbly weak.
My flesh faints, feeling dry,
A land with no water;
I continue to cry,
For my son and daughter.
So, I look upon You,
In the sanctuary;
Help me as to construe,
I am weak and weary.
Help my daughter and son,
Beholding Your power;
What this virus has done,
Fatal through each hour.
Because Your steadfast love,
Is much better than life;
Sending praises above,
In the midst of this strife.
For as long as I live,
I will bless in Your name;
Knowing You will forgive,
I proceed to proclaim.
I will be satisfied,
As with fat and rich food;
Joyful lips to abide,
Keeping in a good mood.
When I remember You,
While resting in bed;
Meditate I pursue,
On Your Word that You fed.
For You have been my aid,
And shadowed by Your wings;
Singing and not afraid,
As to what each day brings.
My soul clings unto You,
Your right hand upholds me;
It is guiding me through,
Giving insight to see.
Those who seek to destroy,
In depths of earth shall go;
And never to deploy,
From fervent depths below.
