You were dead in iniquity,
Overwhelm in trespass and sin;
And losing your ability,
Because of corruption within.

Because of the path you once walked,
Following the course of this place;
In the manner that you had talked,
Caused you to have fallen from grace.

You followed the prince of the dark,
Causing your disobedience;
Where you were walking to embark,
That caused you a great defiance.

Amongst whom we all had once dwelt,
Of our flesh in the passions;
Because of the desires dealt.
Pleasures of ungodly fashions.

But God being rich in mercy,
Because of His wonderful love;
Showed us the way so we can see,
By grace through our faith thereof.

Even when dead in our sin,
Made us alive through Jesus Christ;
Saved by grace from decay within,
With a path from being enticed.

He raised us up to sit with Him,
Reserves seats in heavenly places;
No longer the need to feel grim,
Since the Father sheds His graces.

So that at the coming of age,
He might show abundant riches;
Of grace taking to the next stage,
Without any likely glitches.

For by His grace you have been saved,
Through your faith that you truly believe;
No longer transgressions enslaved,
Salvation a gift you receive.

Not a result of works to boast,
Rather of faith and confession;
Unto God the heavenly host,
That gives the gift of salvation.

Because we are His creation,
Created in Christ for good deeds;
For building a firm foundation,
Of the love to meet our needs.
