Flying Scroll

I lifted up my eyes to see,
Behold it was a flying scroll;
It was all solely about me,
And what would happen to my soul.

What do you see, the Lord had asked,
A flying scroll was my response;
A listing of what I am tasked,
Filled with my desires and wants.

Twenty cubits in length by ten,
He told me that it was a curse;
Over the entire land when,
As sinful conditions get worse.

All who will steal shall be cleaned out,
According to what on one side;
Swearing falsely without a doubt,
And no longer will they abide.

He will send out declared the Lord,
And enter the house of the thief;
Swearing falsely and has ignored,
Because of all their disbelief.

They shall consume within his house,
And eat all the timber and stone;
While enslaving of the spouse,
To do things she did not condone.

An angel came forward and spoke,
For me as to lift up my eyes;
From my slumber as I awoke,
As to was going out was wise.

What was going out as I said,
It was floating in front of me;
It was a basket filled with bread,
A bread filled with iniquity.

The iniquity of the land,
A resemblance of all the earth;
Transgressions of each grain of sand,
Giving life at the time of birth.

There was lifted talent of lead,
A woman that held the basket;
Seeing her she was dressed in red,
Around her neck a white ascot.

For wickedness thrusted her back,
Thrusted down by burden of weight;
Because of the faith she did lack,
Losing all hope that showed her fate.
