From Suffering to Praise

I am but a worm,
Rather not a man;
Here for a short term,
For the Father’s plan.

Scorned by mankind,
Despised by others;
So many are blind,
Just a few brothers.

All who see mock me,
Laughs out from the lip;
Knows not what will be,
From poison they sip.

I trust in the Lord,
He will deliver;
Stays in one accord,
Who’s the forgiver.

I delight in Him,
Saw me in the womb;
Gave spiritual vim,
That lasts till the tomb.

At my mother’s breast,
I gave Him my trust;
Comforted to rest,
Avoiding all lust.

He had given birth,
From the womb I came;
Walking on the earth,
The Word to proclaim.

For He is not far,
For trouble is near;
Some wanting to scar,
My name they will smear.

Bulls encompass me,
Besetting me round;
Lips and tongues I see,
A tormenting sound.

Mouths are opened wide,
Like roaring lions;
As their insults chide,
Their anger tightens.

Water pours with blood,
My heart is like wax;
Melts to cause a flood,
Death has a climax.
