Lives and lives. What matters?

Suddenly alone in the elevator a child is placed,
Soon after, found exposed to the ground.
Suddenly, a lifetime of fighting,
After granted retirement,
Leave without enjoying anything.
Suddenly, doctors are there,
And, many are gone, for so many and so many unhealthy conditions.
Lives that are gone, we cannot even count.
Often, without the last goodbye,
Often, fatality,
And, what happens in a capitalist society?
Miguel's death caught the world's attention.
And the death caused to George, in the United States,
It also reverberated.
Both black? Not!
Both humans, left without real logic.
After all, in pandemic times,
Changes that occur,
Changes that should hit us all.
God (Allah, Jehovah, Emmanuel, Jesus), to enter the human heart,
Settle lives.
This virus came for this,
But we see people's rot,
And, many times, seeing the human being the way I see it,
It hurts my soul.
It hurts my being.
What to do?
Landing as a saint in front of a church with the Bible in hand?
Or say, "So what?" The thousands of lives that left by covid-19.
The time we live resembles apocalyptic prophecies,
And, we in these dark times,
We are isolated.
But many who steal, kill, invent rapists,
They do, criminal court, they are out there.
Not to mention how many are we losing to drugs?
Friends, children, neighbors, loved ones ...
It hurts my soul.
It hurts my conscience.
I am aware that without God I am nothing.
Without the life of many beings, trees, birds, fish,
A wonderful connection,
I am nothing.
And, how many Georges will still die?
How many Miguéis will leave, wanting only Mom?
I don't know if this living anymore, should go ahead.
There are times when I ask God,
Another meteor that falls on the planet and ends it all,
End the world that we humans have already ended.
I feel that lives and lives are out there,
I know that no leaf falls from a tree unless it is God's will.
We are all living beings,
We have a unique DNA of children of God.
So, what really matters to us?

I offer the mothers of Miguel, George, and so many others, I offer my children that I love.
I offer it to teachers who are now lacking in everyone, because we are essential, yes, only that we are fragile and human.
