David and Zion
Remember all hardships endured,
All the assistance God had done;
How you depone unto the Lord,
And vowed unto the Mighty One.
The Lord will not enter the house,
Nor will He get into your bed;
You cheated with a soldier’s spouse,
And causing him to become dead.
The Lord will not be giving sleep,
Nor any slumber for your eyes;
Because of the secrets you keep,
From the cheating and all the lies.
Till you find a place for the Lord,
A dwelling place for the strong One;
Never let Him to be ignored,
Remembering all He has done.
We had heard of it from afar,
And had found it within the fields;
Told to me by a shining star,
How abundant from this year’s yields.
Let us go to His dwelling place,
Let us worship at His footstool;
For the repentance of His grace,
Because of being such a fool.
Arise, O Lord, and go to rest,
For You and the ark of Your might;
Strengthens Zion being its best,
Your glory will be shining bright.
Let Your priests clothed in righteousness,
Allowing Your saints shout for joy;
Bring about change with graciousness,
Curbing Your wrath that would destroy.
Your servant David, for his sake,
Turn not away from him Your face;
Rather turn him around to make,
Amends and that You can embrace.
