A cancer that needs to be cured
A tumor to be removed
This misanthropic view of humanity
Sweeping generalizations
False assumptions
Fake narratives
And further descension into the worst dregs
Of society that offers
Plenty of excuses
But no solutions
For a lack of effort
A winnowing strength
Weakest courage to get through
Either the boredom
The unrelenting stress
Without a panacea
Or a pacifier that society
Wants you to use
So they can hoard the power
Consume and devour the earth.

So, if I tell you
You’re capable of so much more
I hope that it resonates within you
The seed begins to grow
The glow returns to a face
A smile that lights up the room
Where you become a leader
Not afraid to share your wisdom
Of a mind you were blessed with.

But if you continue
To give in and give up
Blow off the opportunities
And be the victim of self-created circumstances
Led down the darkest road
By so called loyalists
That are envious of your talents
And want you to feel their misery and discontent
Then don’t point at the finger
And shift the blame onto those
That tried to guide and mentor you
For bitterness is malignant
Especially when you’ve performed its bidding.
