Corrupted by Sin
The Word of the Lord came to me,
You must raise a lamentation;
So, others are able to see;
In preaching a proclamation.
You were the seal of perfection,
Perfect in wisdom and beauty;
Showing a humbled reflection,
And a commitment to duty.
You saw Eden, God’s garden,
Your covering were precious stones;
Treasure ensuring your pardon,
Crafted in gold for all the thrones.
Your settings and your engravings,
On the day that they were prepared
No longer lusting your cravings,
When your purity was declared.
You were anointed guardian,
God placed you on the mountain peak;
Watchfulness of an alien,
To steal treasures that they would seek.
You walk among stones of fire,
Being blameless within your ways;
Unto the Lord your desire,
As created during these days.
But unrighteousness found in you,
Filled with violence having sinned;
God found your heart not being true,
And that you are not disciplined.
God cast you as a profane thing,
From the mountain into fire;
For the beauty that you may bring,
A heart of pride with desire.
You corrupted your own wisdom,
For the sake of your own splendor;
As to gain access the Kingdom,
Being a righteous pretender.
God casts you down onto the ground,
Exposed before kings with their eyes;
Hearing the ashes make a sound,
From your deceit and all your lies.
All who have known you are appalled,
They became shocked and astonished;
How you became dreadfully flawed,
That caused God to have abolished.
