Saddened
At your stereotypical assumptions
Compunction to keep the beast alive
When you know damn well
It’s a shell of former self
But as long as it’s propped up and fed
And a ratings winner
Connection will continue to wither
Creativity will be barren
Accountability sneered upon
And you will remain a hypocrite
Crying wolf
Despite being free to be
Blessed with lavishness.

You remain motivated
To stir up strife and chaos
Instead of challenging others to give their best
But if the soldiers under your lead
Continue to reside inside a bubble
And believe they are immune from criticism
Then humanity will continue to be infested
Either from guilt or anger
For
I could be virtuously undefiled
Inevitably ignored by you
For I’m the bogy man
Who holds the key to your
Imprisoned cell of a mind
And you can continue to gaslight the public
But you won’t get me
For I see right through you
Not due to how you look
But who you are.
