In our dark world, You are Light and You bring the warmth of love in our cold world (NLT,2806). In our dying world, You bring life and these truths can bring us certainty when we lack confidence (NLT, 2806). You are the Creator of love, which is action (NLT, 2806). You are Truth and Light, God (NLT, 2806). You are in control of heaven and earth, Lord (NLT, 2806). You are light and Your Second Cousin John had a special relationship with You, Messiah (NLT, 2807). He was and still is the disciple whom You loved, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit (NLT, 2807). You are perfectly Holy and True and that You alone can guide us out of the darkness of sin (NLT, 2808). 1 John 1:2 "He Himself is the sacrifice that at ones for our sins --- and not only our sins but the sins of all the world (NLT, 2809). You are the Best Defense Attorney, Christ, our Advocate, our Defender, and You are the Judge's Son (NLT, 2809). To walk today as You did, I must obey Your teachings and follow Your example of complete obedience to You and loving service to people (NLT, 2810). You are helping us to express our love, which is a choice (NLT, 2810). 1 John 2:16-17 "For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases You will live forever (NLT, 2811)." You value self-control, a spirit of generosity, and a commitment to humble service (NLT, 2811). It is possible, like You, to love sinners and spend time with them while maintaining a commitment to the values of Your Kingdom (NLT,2811). I can become personally acquainted with You and become a loyal, trustworthy follower (NLT, 2811). 1 John 2:29 "Since we know that Christ is righteous, we also know that all who do what is right are God's children (NLT, 2812). One way Your Spirit helps the believer and the Church is by communicating the Truth and You are the Truth, Jesus Christ, and Your Spirit guides us to You (NLT, 2812). You are Divine and You are God's Son (NLT, 2812). To stay true to You, I must follow Your Word and Your Spirit (NLT, 2812). To keep pure means to keep morally straight, free from the corruption of sin. You also purify us, but there is action we must take to remain morally fit (NLT, 2813). To find victory over prevailing sin, there are three steps: I must seek Your Power, Holy Spirit, and Your Word; I must stay away from tempting situations and I must seek the help of Your Body (NLT, 2813). Except for You, we all still sin and we are working to gain victory over sin (NLT, 2814). Real love is action that produces selfless, sacrificial giving (NLT, 2814). To give up our lives is to serve others with no thought of receiving anything in return and truly living for others means putting their desires first (NLT, 2814). Helping those in need is one example of this, Lord (NLT, 2814). You are stronger than evil, and You will conquer all evil plus Your Spirit and Your Word live in our heart (NLT, 2815). 1 John 4:10 "This is real love - not that we loved You, but that You loved us and sent Your Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins (NLT, 2816). Your love always involves a choice and an action (NLT, 2816). 1 John 4:18-19 "Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love. We love each other because He loved us first (NLT, 2817). Your love is the source of all human love, and it spreads like fire (NLT, 2817). I want to serve You, Lord, just because You are God and You are worthy to be served. In 1 John 5:14-15, You promise that You hear us whenever we ask for anything that pleases You and since we know You hear us when we make our request, we also know that You will give us what we ask for (NLT, 2819). I need to start praying with confidence (NLT, 2819). You are the God-man who came to Earth to die for our sins and You are fully God as well as fully man (NLT, 2819).
