A few things I do appreciate in life
Love first drops of rain on dry soil
Love the rain falling on the roof
When rugged up as night birds call..
Sitting on verandah when cricket sing
As a full moon plays hide and seek
A new day soon the silence to bring..
An old dog curled up not far away
Upon it's mat just snoozing peacefully
As I sit thinking of yesterday's gone by
Some of tomorrows that well could be..
Hot coffee or chockolate within reach
A smoke or two to roll or just enjoy
Living one day at a time like the song
I sang long ago once as only then a boy..
Over time I had an Angel sit with me
To enjoy a few things like these were true
Angels come Angels go like a few things
As life passes on slowly as a few things do..
