Over life I've made this journey
To keep my train of life many times
Traveling in a positive direction
Making it's way in life on the lines

Checking all the while things all were
The way I thought they all should be
It's values principles honesty integrity
Keeping all best I could from guilt free

Not a religious soul as religion it goes
But within trying to be half what my dad
In life he was each day of his living life
The most beautiful friend I've ever had

Not an easy journey to take in all sincerity
Being deeply self critical all of the while
But satisfying to know all as should be
Thus allowing one's soul to at least smile

My being the captain of my very own soul
There is no other one can ever blame
If one knows the reason one's sunshine
Decides to shine not due to one's own rain

I see this life as being a one big class
And to one's self one can never lie
One has to simply make up one's mind
Although in university life many how they try
