By the meekness of Jesus Christ,
Also, the gentleness thereof;
Willingly to be sacrificed;
Because of His peace and His love.

I am humbled when face to face,
But am bold when I turn away;
For I feel His mercy and grace,
Within me going through each day.

I beg of you when I am here,
I may not have boldness to show;
Because I want to be sincere,
So that my lowliness will glow.

For such confidence how I look,
Showing against some who suspect;
According to the flesh mistook,
By prejudging as they reject.

For in the flesh though that we walk,
But that we are not waging war;
According to the flesh we talk,
Of what Jesus Christ does assure.

For the weapons of this warfare,
Not of flesh but divine power;
For destroying evil that dare,
Through carnal strongholds each hour.

I destroy lofty impressions,
Blasphemes against knowledge of God;
Considered being aggressions,
That the Trinity as a fraud.

For I take each thought as captive,
As a means for obeying Christ;
As not to become addictive,
To this world and become enticed.

Look at what is before your eyes,
If anyone is confident;
You will realize through the disguise,
The evil that is evident.

Let such a person understand,
Says by the letter of the Word;
Of what the Father does command,
Comprehending to what is heard.
