Bonfire celebration
Presiding over the funeral
Of
A former decadence
Peddler of sins
Ultimate selfishness
Inevitably becoming
A hollow paper lion
Parasite within others
To make him roar
And if you’re given a second chance
To rise again
Don’t live through others
Or descend into the illusion
Of the worst coping skills
To kill independence
To destroy confidence
And send you quickly
To the next fix
Like Pavlov’s dog.

There is a thirst for redemption
Quench it not with arrogance thumb nosed stuffiness
But with humility
The hard fought wisdom
A rational voice in the maelstrom of chaos
And an amoral display
Life ain’t a game
To conquer and manipulate others to your view
It’s precious
A never ending learning experience
For if the mind closes
Or is ripe for indoctrination
Don’t expect any favors
But if the opportunity comes of fate knocking
With a chance to be reborn
Damn’t, take it
For what have you got to lose?
It’s better than being surrounded
By a horde of brainwashed babbling fools
Whom never took a step outside their narcissism
To even consider an opposite view
The only difference is that you have
And have chosen to live among the giveth
Not the taketh
For naivety is no longer in session.
