One has the right to free expression
But if the opportunity knocks
To make a positive change
Why not take advantage of it?
Instead of sitting back
Becoming the delusional fan
Of own echo chamber
Drowning in the dark recesses
Of a terminally warped mind.

You can compose
Create the manifesto
That won’t shake the world’s foundation
But mowing down innocent people
Ain’t gonna change a damn thing
They aren’t the reason for your self-loathing
Did you want notoriety?
Someone did not pay enough attention to you?
As you resorted to primal instincts
Proving that you’re incapable
Of intellectual discourse
Of non-violent means
Yet you remain clueless
As to why no one wanted to hang with you.

Your beliefs twisted
Reek of separation
Desperation
While missing the point completely
Close your eyes
Open your mind
Seek healing from the ones
That raised, shaped and molded you
I’m willing to ascertain they look
Like the shattered reflection
From the mirror.

You didn’t win any followers
From your insidiousness
Just drove another wedge in humanity
That is trying to seek connection
Weary now for the fear is
That one may throw us overboard
Into your hateful cesspool
You’re just a textbook example
Of the idiocy of ignorance.
