This heart has a ton to reveal
But remains dormant
Suspicious
Paranoid
Afraid
For one guesses
What words should be said
Out of some blind fear
No one cares what you say
As you don’t fit the stereotypical
Quintessential philosophical seer
Besides, you don’t want to offend anyone
Honesty isn’t cherished or respected
Unless it’s directed at you.

The only choices
Is to be an outcast
Say what you feel
And alone and damned
Or remain silent
Where loneliness is your friend
A no win situation
You can’t be loved by everyone.

If one could walk on water
Some would conclude
It’s a trick of the mind
The drink was laced
An illusion born out of a Hollywood movie
While they continue to blame shortcomings
On a select few generalizations
Inside a distorted worldview
Blind sheeple or a woke skeptic?
The choice is up to you.
