Scene of victimization
Waiting for the other shoe to drop
Frozen except for phone in hand
Recording every last vestige of agony
A parasite who can’t get enough
Others mock in disgust
Surely the victim has deserved it
Payback for the injustices
A slave to the stereotype
Conditional brainwashing.

No one wants to be a real hero
What is real?
Ponder if you’re able
And if the victim is able to walk away
The body will heal
Yet the mind remains in disarray
Whether to trust completely
Is a concept that may never come to fruition
PTSD for the surreal
As if it is simply just to wipe off a piece of fluff
No one understanding until it happens to them.

Opportunities lost in the refusal to
Cast out the perpetrator
Send him to pasture
Subject him to public outcry yet refused
The disease will continue
To ravage mind, heart and soul
You had a chance at greatness
But blew it with supreme cowardice
Only confirming the theory
That you’re all hyperbole and bluster.
