Everything that was a gain,
Is considered to be a loss;
Because agony of the pain,
Since Jesus Christ was on the cross.

For I will also consider,
Everything to be a loss;
As the view seems more like a blur,
Since my body was filled with dross.

A view of surpassing value,
Of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord;
With the insight that I construe,
As to remain in one accord.

Because of Him I have suffered,
Consider filth of all those things;
For knowing that I am buffered,
By faith gained by what Jesus brings.

Being in Him, I will be found,
But not having a righteousness;
In order to be Heaven bound,
When I am willing to confess.

One that is through the faith in Christ,
Righteous of my own from the Law;
Willingly to be sacrificed,
So that His Spirit cleans the flaw.

Because my goal is to know Him,
From power of resurrection;
No longer to be feeling grim,
Once able to change direction.

Not as though I had reached my goal,
Or am already fully mature;
Rather ensured God has my soul,
For keeping it righteous and pure.

But the one thing that I will do,
By forgetting what is behind;
Searching the spiritual value,
And that we are able to find.

I consider not taken hold,
Rather able to reach forward;
Pursue as my goal will unfold,
The prize as written in the Word.
