Ezra, whose name means help, served You faithfully (NLT, 954). He served You as well as Your people (NLT, 954). According to tradition, He wrote most of 1 and 2 Chronicles as well as Nehemiah and Psalm 119 (NLT, 954). He not only knew Your Word but He believed and obeyed it (NLT, 954). He prayed for the nation of Israel after You revealed to him their sins of idolatry and intermarriage between the pagan neighborhors (NLT,954-955). He was a Faithful and Obedient Helper and I want to serve You through helping others just like He did and still does even though He is with you (NLT, 955). Your Work in the world is not without opposition and I must be careful not to threaten our walk with You by taking on the practices of unbelievers (NLT, 955). You show mercy to every generation and You compassionately restore Your people (NLT, 955). You restore us when we return to You (NLT, 955). To grow spiritually, my commitment must be reviewed and renewed often and the lives You have given us become altars to You as we rededicate ourselves to You (NLT, 955). There will always be adversaries who oppose Your Work (NLT, 955). Your Word gives us the encouragement that we need to do Your Work (NLT, 956). You can overrule all opposition to Your service, including the interruptions and distractions (NLT, 956). I must keep active and I must be patient when I am interrupted (NLT, 956). Through Your Word, You not only give encouragement but also direction and guidance (NLT, 956). I must make it the basis for the faith You have given me and my actions to finish Your Work and fulfil my obligations (NLT, 956). While Your plans may allow for hardship, Your desire is for our good (NLT, 957). Each function is vital to accomplishing the task (NLT, 957). Doing Your Will begins with our desires (NLT, 958). You are in control and You own this site, Lord. Your faithfulness is shown in the way You have preserved Your Ancestor King David's line, which is really Your family line (NLT, 963). Discouragement and fear are two of the greatest obstacles to completing Your Work and these are common barriers that can be overcome by standing together with other believers (NLT, 966). In Ezra 4:22, You tell me to be diligent and don't neglect this matter, for we must not permit the situation to hear the king's interests (NLT, 967). While setbacks and standstills are painful and discouraging to Your Workers, I need to still stand strong in You (NLT, 967). You sometimes send prophets to encourage and strengthen Your people, and You have sent many through Your Word (NLT, 967). You will accomplish Your purposes in the world no matter who attempts to block them (NLT, 968). We are Your Workers and I won't be effective if I try to offend no one or please everyone (NLT, 968). You have a plan and a purpose for tomorrow, and this is to hear Your Word however it may come (NLT, 969). Achievements are examples of what You can do through someone's life (NLT, 973). A person's willingness to know and practice Your Word will have a direct effect on how You use his or her life and the starting place for serving You is a personal commitment to serve You today, even before knowing what that service will be (NLT, 973). Thank You for Your hand in the success that You have given us and You are always offering Your help as well as Your protection (NLT, 975). Ezra praised You for all that You had done for him and through him (NLT, 975). Thank You, God, for all of our successes (NLT, 975). I can look for opportunities to volunteer and thank You, God, for Your grace on Khan Academy through the Volunteer page as well as the email reminding me to spread the word about Khan Academy. Thank You, Lord, for Your discipline on Facebook and I am asking that You please cover them with Your mercy in the name of Jesus Christ, who desires mercy and not sacrifice.Stewardship means taking special care of whatever You have entrusted to us and this Website is from You and for Your use. Everything that You have given me is from You and for Your use (NLT, 977). You have entrusted this site as well as the cellular phone in order to glorify You and encourage others. I need to overcome my impatience with being interrupted. You are able to restore and rebuild the lives of people today and repentance is all that is required for restoration (NLT, 982). No matter how far we have strayed and how long it has been since we have worshipped You, You are able to restore our relationship to You and rebuild the lives You have given us (NLT, 982).
