ANIMALS KNOW BETTER

We rented a home upon a property
Away out along the highway some
Then off along a bush track road
Old place between hills of gum

There steepest hills were several
Nobody had been up for years
There were ample snakes all over
For the unbush crafted many fears

I always had a good knowledge bush
Of all dangerous I leaned so well
I was at the time working miles away
Drove in out six days a week I tell

Two miles down to the roadway gate
A school bus picked up my kids then
My german shepard went with them
After school waiting for them ag'en

I walked one day to the top of a hilltop
And where a tree once stood was a hole
Seven feet deep where soil was once
At the bottom was a ten foot Taipan old

It curled up looked at me I looked at it
I walked slowly away leaving it alone
It knew I was not about to hurt or try
I went on my way back down and home

Animals have ability to see aura color
If not made savage by the human kind
Know who intends to do them any harm
Those with negativity on their mind

Taipan one of Australia's deadliest
The Aussie bush full of them it's true
They'll not bight without good course
Given no threat at all if allowed to do

Oh there are animals that will attack
Crocs sharks the list it just goes so on
But generally out in the outback areas
Like sensible humans all sing this song

Wild animals live and let live always
As natural as nature created them to be
But humans what goes around comes back
If more like animals we'd all be free
