God is our sanctuary,
Our refuge and our strength;
Always remains necessary,
To persevere at any length.

Therefore, we will not have to fear,
Even though the earth gives away;
Because we know that God is near,
For helping us throughout the day.

Although the mountains may be moved,
Deep into the heart of the sea;
Rationale for God is behooved,
Having something that has to be.

Even though its waters foam and roar,
Though the mountains tremble as to swell;
They will start to form a new shore,
Where many land creatures can dwell.

For a river whose streams make glad,
Make grateful the city of God;
The holy habitation had,
Of the Most High where we can laud.

God is always within her midst,
He will help her when morning breaks;
Sheltering her when foes have blitzed,
Assured that He never forsakes.

The heathen rage, kingdoms totter,
His voice utters as the earth melts;
As heat evaporates the water,
And on all creatures causing welts.

But the Lord of Hosts is with us,
The God of Jacob a fortress;
As a sheltered refuge as thus,
That we are assured He will bless.

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
Of the desolations on earth;
We cannot let it be ignored,
Making the way for a new birth.

Be still and know that He is God,
And exalted by all nations;
To whom that we honor and laud,
Establishing new relations.
