I write a new commandment,
That you had before from the start;
Christ gave as a new testament,
That should be really known by heart.

It is a new that I write you,
For the darkness passes away;
Because the light that shines is true,
Offering to you a new day.

Whoso says being in the light,
And has been hating his brother;
Truly is blinded by the sight,
Still in darkness light is a blur.

Whoever does love his brother,
Abides in the light and in Christ;
Stumbles not caused by another,
Avoiding from being enticed.

To hate then you live in the dark,
For the darkness makes you blind;
Every place that you embark,
Clouding the thoughts within the mind.

I write to you because your sin,
Are forgiven for Jesus sake;
Let His Spirit cleanse you within,
For a new creature to awake.

I write to you for you know Him,
Who has been from the beginning;
Giving you the spiritual vim,
For avoiding any sinning.

I write to you because you know,
It has made your faith to be strong;
The Word of God has made you grow,
Knowing evil does not belong.

Love not the world or things within,
For love of the Father is lost;
Desires of the world is sin,
Salvation gone is at its cost.

For the world is passing away,
Along with all its desires;
God lives forever and a day,
Giving you what life requires.
