Please preserve me, O God,
I take refuge in you;
For I honor and laud,
With each of my days through.

Because You are my Lord,
No good being apart;
You are loved and adored,
With my entire heart.

In You I put my trust,
For You are my delight;
With knowing You are just,
Judgement is sound and right.

For the saints in the lands,
They are excellent men;
Teaching all Your commands,
As written way back then.

Sorrows to those who run,
After another god;
Thinking that it is fun,
For worshipping a fraud.

Blood offerings they drink,
Pouring out on their lips;
Not taking time to think,
The poison from those sips.

The Lord chose a portion,
Of my inheritance;
As clear no distortion,
Showing of my importance.

The lines fall unto me,
In some pleasant places;
The heritage to see,
That my past erases.

I bless God who counsels,
As my heart instructs me;
For confession cancels,
All the iniquity.

You forsake not my soul,
Your right hand holds treasures;
I leave You in control,
For eternal pleasures.
