If I sat alone on the side of a hill high
Looking into the distance far away
Thinking of a life almost I've lived
Endless entities would find a way

So many I've known as I've grown
Would come to my mind one at a time
Hearts so broken feelings unspoken
That crossed my path life's so unkind

Within their voices a trembling sound
Hurt that few could ever try to explain
Feelings within them ever hard to bare
Almost unable to express their pain

None I've ever forgotten their within
I felt all they were going sadly through
And I as well find it so hard to tell
The absolute loneliness these souls knew

If in any way I could reduce that day
Any of what I felt they felt deeply within
Over time in this life of mine I'd find
Such a world of loneliness around to begin

Who upon earth with all existing worth
Can take their feeling so within away
So unexplainably unable to ever do so
Only to feel their pain upon that day
