But it’s looking dim
I’m willing to take accountability
If you’re willing to shoulder the responsibility.

I’ve heard about your childhood
You’ve dismissed mine
For as long as there are
Plenty of bleeding hearts
Offering sympathy
They will never find the courage
To tell you’ve been wrong indeed.

Feed the beast and it never dies
No matter how you’ve imagined its demise
It continues to haunt
And the perpetrators always seem to get off lightly
Via money
Connections
On a dramatic display of victimology
And while it’s tempting to seek justice
By own hands
You have to realize
That only he holds the plan
Blueprint of fate
But it’s getting far too late
In the hour
To keep holding grudges
And allowing them to win
By bringing them up constantly
They don’t deserve the attention
They’ve prostituted 15 minutes of fame
Long past diminishing returns
And one day you’ll internalize
How foolishly and erroneously
You’ve wasted time on the minutia
While missing the whole picture
As it fades out terminally.
