The irreplaceable
Unconquerable
Insatiable you
That has stood by my side
Sometimes, the ride was thrilling
Others, hellish
But fate brought us together
Patiently waiting for the good things
To come to pass
And If I’m not emotionally intimate
As I should
I remember vividly
The pain of rejection
That came too often
Before our eyes met
And it’s too easy to forget
How much hard work it took
To build our foundation
And to take for granted
When the bloom fades
Off the roses yet
Each day I awake with the unshakeable notion
That I was born to reach you
And if my actions throughout the years
Are an impeachable offense
I can only offer my defense
As a little boy in a man’s body
That grew up and became whole
Due to your unshakeable loyalty
And brutal honesty
And there’s no use in spilling
Eternal regrets
But to enjoy each moment
