Goodbye to the darkness
Welcoming the light
The bad boy rebel must due
Far too old to keep living that lie
Sigh at all the regrets
The guilt and shame
Yearn for a beautiful paradise
A welcomed respite
From the hell on earth
Let’s be frank for a moment
Your fingerprints are at the scene of the crime.

If life is a transitory state
Where do we go?
Buried in six feet of dirt?
Or is there a seat reserved for us?
Or do we repeat until we get it right?

I don’t know the answers
But I will continue to ask the questions
But if beliefs align with actions
Leading to dire consequences
It’s time to eradicate them
If I’m gonna find any peace
It’s not as easy as the phony gurus declare
But if you desire to get there
You will by faith and arduous toil.
