Give an ear to my word,
Consider my groaning;
Allow my voice be heard,
Agony from moaning.

Attention to the sound,
Unto you of my cry;
Stop being so spellbound,
That makes me wonder why.

O Lord, You hear my voice,
In the morn as I pray;
Please help me with my choice,
How to trust and obey.

I want to sacrifice,
Allowing you to watch;
So, things do not entice,
Causing another splotch.

For You do not delight,
Evil and wickedness;
Rather do what is right,
Leading to righteousness.

Let not evil dwell in,
Boastfulness shall not stand;
The eyes of God sees sin,
That your heart would demand.

You destroy who speak lies,
Loathe terror and deceit;
Sees through any disguise,
Why anyone would cheat.

But from Your steadfast love,
I will enter the gate;
When I go up above,
Since You have sealed my fate.

I will bow down to You,
Honor You to revere;
Praising all that You do,
As honest and sincere.

Lead me towards righteousness,
Make Your way straight for me;
Bringing perceptiveness,
For opening my eyes.

Give me refuge in You,
So, I can sing for joy;
Rejoicing each day through,
Shield from foes who destroy.
