When the mountains that you see,
Are now beginning to shake;
You know that it had to be,
God that was causing a quake.
Torrential downpour sweeps through,
You hear the great deep shout out;
As it lifts its high to you,
It is God without a doubt.
The sun and the moon stand still,
The lightning begins to flash;
You know that it is His will,
Turning a tree into ash.
Thunder stomps upon the earth,
Hurricanes trample the land;
Showing us of His true worth,
Making fertile desert sand.
He goes to lead His people,
Cloud by day fire by night;
Worshipping in the temple,
The promises of delight.
He pierces the head of foes,
The warriors with a spear;
Because He already knows,
That they are showing no fear.
Storming the camp as they shout,
While plundering the poor;
But the Lord shows them their doubt,
Within their hearts at the core.
But trampled under the sea,
Raging waters are surging;
They are unable to flee,
As God begins His purging.
I hear my stomach does churn,
The sound from lips that quiver;
Pleading with God that I yearn,
For some fish caught in the river.
The sovereign Lord is my source,
Of strength and agility;
Confidence to stay on course,
To give me ability.
