Make me a melody
And I will sing you a song
A song about a girl
She didn't know one day from the next
Within her time stood still
There was no time
While all around her it blurred together
She fell from the heavens
Through space and time
She could see the past
And hear the future
She could feel it all
Even hell fire
She knew kings, princes, jesters, sorcerers, and mages
She knew gods, angels, demons, and entities of the great unknown
And she loved them all
She has been told she is an angel, a goddess, and even a devil
She believes she is a hybrid
She shared her misdeeds with God
And danced with the devil
She prayed for her enemy
Cried under the stars
Even witnessed the moon slip away
She suffered under the sun
And looked eye to eye with the serpent
She prayed with the ancients
She loved deeply and was loved immensely
She can hear her ancestors, her loves, and that of the unknown
From deep within her
She walked through hell
And traveled through the netherworld
With intentions to heal those around her
And to find her true love
But she may have failed
Though she overcame much
She was terribly flawed
And was tormented by her sins
Though she looked up to the light
She took pleasure in the dark
And loved them both
She hopes that her failures might not be a total loss
Of the the goodness that was once within her
She hopes that her soul has not been lost
And that though she is horribly scarred
That she might find her true love
That can see the beauty that she once carried within her
