In shadows and smoke she looked upon the jinn
Masked by her magic she spoke with the mage
The jester watched all he looked on with a grin
The beast was let loose released from his cage
Tests of her heart she thought was a game
To beings of old her story was told
In realms of the unseen she acquired her fame
Her love for old ways would shortly unfold
It was true love her heart did seek
In looking within she found her power
Though her mind was strong her flesh was weak
For him she searched every waking hour
Not knowing she carried him locked in her mind
And that she'd been placed under a powerful spell
To the ancient one her heart they did bind
Left in the darkness to permanently dwell
