She used to be filled with hopes and dreams
Once she was beautiful and young
All is lost and forgotten now it seems
All her songs have been sung

An emptiness she feels in her very core
She thinks she has sealed her fate
From her chest her heart was tore
Leaving her in a sorrowful state

Her mind a twisting maze
there is nowhere to run
She strains to peer through the haze
To think life used to be so fun

She just wants to forget
Everything she once had
And that she now lives a life filled with regret
If only she hadn't been so bad

Where did all the years go
If only she knew then what she knows now
She feels her bitterness grow
As she continues to ask herself how

Instead of following her dreams she followed the crowd
Now she walks with her head to the ground
In the night she cries aloud
Oh what a horrible sound
