AS AN OLD BUSH-MAN ONCE SAID RE LIFELong has life been with its twists and turns
Sitting by a camp fire under starry skies dark blue
Watching flames as they perform a dance of life
And thinking back so far upon a life lived he knew
Asked by young companion of things now gone by
Tipping his old hat thinks of a life almost won
Grunts and softly answers in his own simplicity
Well .. the reality of it all explained this way son
If all life in reality was a Kangaroo one could say
Upon its rear end somewhere would living its destiny
Would be positioned the whole human race I feel
Existing back there no different than a flea
As life is always a hop in front of us all
Though we dare think as a race we are in control
We never come to know what its really all about
Not until if then when we grow so very very old.
Only getting older having been bolder her head my shoulder
Does one only know then how to treat an angel divine
Loving her as if theres no tomorrow ever going to come
Until the sun turns up my friend until then your mine
Age and experience speaks with knowing and completeness
But you'll not realize this until you do grow old
But she will even being younger find honesty and reality
And feelings that existed Only known by the aged soul
However never look for it for it knows well of perfect time
When only it feels she and you then should know
Of the once in a life time its now or never to be
Both becoming unknowing the very day and night of rhyme
He pushed his hat back some leaning on old camp drum
Life has its lows many and with any luck a high
Which becomes a memory one remembers till end
And a lone crow slowly again crosses lifes sky
