We are all sorry what happened , Happened ..
For Aborigine's .. The Irish Scotish Old England too ..
But we all need to hear both sides of the stories ..
Not just remembered by the new .. When these
countries had convicts sent here of no fault of
their own ..
Aborigine's had too their share of problems ..
Like leprosy illnesses nothing of what they now
call home .. All they have now as well was given ..
Without it today they'd not survive ..
We all come from somewhere else as they did too across
a once land bridge as to then strive ..
Time to put aside real reasons ..This keeps on going ..
I appreciate the stolen children ever sadly ..
Convicts lost homes .. Families ..Children ..
And this wind it's self keeps on blowing ..
They asked for sorry it was given .. But that was
then this is now ..Just as we were not there beside
the Anzacs .. Time to tell the other side of the
stories in reality and how ..AS THIS POEM SAYS ..
Cant Go Back
CAN'T GO BACK AND CHANGE THINGS
Cant go back and change things
As life dont work that way~
We all remeniss of back when
Past times and bygone days~
And we try as sometimes we all do
To have a go to make things right~
We often feel its impossible
When we go back in dreams at night~
We cant go back and change things
Nomatter how hard we try~
To make it how we wished it was
Not untill the day we die~
The future is the only way
We can make up for the past~
To build a firm tomorrow
One that will always last~
But we cant go back and change things
It simply cannot be~
Getting on with life to come
Will only ever set us free~
