Since life upon earth it begin
With all we could lose and could win~
I feel the worst thing we could do
Is wasting time , Our greatest sin~
The very value of time
It's the one thing ever fine~
Can not be bought or sold
It belongs to us , yours and mine~
It goes on forever and forever
But worse luck here we do not~
Should always make better use of it
Weve only the time we have got~
Our every day is just time
Been the same right down the line~
Since the first day we got here
All our lives , yours and mine~
What we could do we all say
If we had yet one more day~
But weve had all the time on our hands
And yet with time do we play~
We put things off for tomorrow
That we well could do today~
Some feel they'll live forever
But it's never this way~
We waste time all of the time
and the clock ticks away~
Lifes candles burn on
Regardless of whatever we say~
Not all the time facing reality
we dream and we strive~
To one day obtain our dreams
Hope and pray in time we'er still alive~
We play games with life and with loving
And dreams of living as well~
Some even try to fool time
And hope time it can't tell~
But time is going on smply forever
Slowly ticking away~
One second of time at a time
Nomatter what we think or we say~
Lifes most precious commodity
after all said and done~
Is time , simply time after all
Regardless if weve lost or won~
If all those that have past here
Could have but one more day~
First of all before anything
Would agree with what I say~
With just a little more time
Often so much it could be~
But we all need to respect it
Way more don't you see~
Lifes most precious commodity
It's all that weve got~
Up to us how we use it
To manage our earthly lot~
